JKA Bahrain achieves another successful JKA Gulf wide Camp & Tournament
The second JKA Gulf Camp and Tournament was held in Bahrain on November 20th through 22nd, 2014. The event was sponsored by JKA Bahrain and supported by JKA Japan, JKA Kuwait, JKA Saudi Arabia, and JKA Oman. The training camp was held on Thursday and Friday and managed by two Japanese Masters form Tokyo; Master Naka Tatsuya and Master Okuma koichiro. The opening Ceremony was conducted on Thursday around 6:45pm and was attended by GOYS’s Bahrain Martial Arts Association, Mr. Abdulla Alsheikh, Mr. Mr Ahmed Alkhaiyat, and Dr. AbdulJalil Al Ansari, and in addition to representation from Embassy of Japan in Bahrain – Mr. Yosuke Iijima. During the first two days of the camp, the event was focused on Standardization of JKA Technique Worldwide, Qualifications Examination (Instructor, Examiner & Judge Class), followed by Judge/Referee Seminar. The event was attended by JKA members from Gulf countries totaling a bit over 100 member. On Saturday 22nd a gulf wide tournament was conducted where Bahrain achieved 4 Gold, 6 Silver, and 6 Bronze. Kuwait achieved 9 Gold, 7 Silver, and 5 Bronze. And Saudi Arabia achieved 1 Bronze Medal.
